Our main priority whilst there was to inspire the children to design a 50 year celebratory logo. Having organised a mornings worth of educational fun, we arrived with big smiles and bagfuls of quizzes and games to help engage the children, guiding them in what it takes to create a great logo.
Although we had 50 children in our workshop they were amazingly well behaved and were very much engaged in how colour theory and branding works. Once the presentation and games were finished we got down to the creative and 10 teams were established, each tasked with the same objective of creating a simple logo that portrayed the MMI values, inclusiveness and creativity.
We judged the entries from both the group sessions and those produced by the children for homework. All the designs were collated into a keepsake book created by Point 6 as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Five finalists were selected and the winning design below was fully artworked by Point 6 into a finished logo to be used by the school.

As exhausting as it was keeping 50 children engaged and enthusiastic, we’re not sure who had the most fun, us or the children!
Huge thanks to the staff and children for making our morning so enjoyable.
