The Charge of the Light Brigade
Our longstanding partnership with the world leaders in lighting
Born as a rebrand from Philips Lighting in 2018, Signify is the world leader in conventional, LED, and connected lighting. For more than 127 years the company has been at the forefront of the industry, changing the very idea of what lighting can be and do through innovations that serve professional and consumer markets alike all around the globe.
Under the Signify umbrella exists a carousel of brands that lead their respective corner of the lighting market, including Philips Hue, Interact and Color Kinetics.
At Point 6, our job is to provide content befitting the company at the spearhead of world lighting. Through thought-leadership articles, diverse marketing materials in promotion of domestic and international events, monthly e-magazine updates, and engaging social campaigns aimed at the lighting community, we helped to establish and now continue to solidify Signify’s position at the peak of global lighting.
Lighting has come a long way since Philips Lighting’s inception. There are a wide range of technologically innovative and complex capabilities in Signify’s arsenal, most especially in the way it incorporates the IoT landscape.
Mere illumination is no longer enough. People want smart, connected lighting. Lighting as a language. Illuminating spaces, homes, offices, warehouses, entire cities and more. And that’s what Signify provides.
The challenge, then, came in representing those complex capabilities concisely, in ways Signify’s customers could understand and engage with, either online or at industry shows and exhibitions.
How we’ve helped
- Planned and executed email campaigns for industry events
- Produced social posts for pre, during and post-event promotion
- Designed eye-catching POS material
- Wrote various thought-leadership articles
- Updated a monthly e-magazine that promotes Signify’s products and services
Through regular thought leadership articles, social posts and campaigns, as well as routine updating of website copy and imagery, we work to maintain Signify’s status on the global lighting stage.
Over the years, we’ve worked closely with the company and its various departments to ensure it has a strong presence at important industry events. This means producing high quality, wide-ranging, accessible and insightful content across the board. Below are just some of the projects that we have undertaken for Signify:
When Signify decided in 2019 that EuroShop, the largest retail trade fair in the world, was the place to market its retail-specific lighting software, it was up to us to produce a variety of marketing materials including emails, social posts, POS and webpages that ensured Signify would stand out.
We decided on the concept ‘Join the retail futurists’ to highlight the role of Signify’s innovative connected lighting software in shaping the future of the retail industry. The campaign not only demonstrated Signify’s revolutionary technology but also its commitment to pushing boundaries and ushering in a new era of smart lighting.
Pioneers of Light
Pioneers of Light is a community of the world’s top architects, lighting designers and engineers, united by a passion for realising their visions through innovative lighting. With interviews, case studies and educational tools, it is a go-to for many industry professionals.
By ensuring the content published is strictly of the highest quality, technically, linguistically, and stylistically, as well as keeping the monthly Luminous Magazine in order, we help Signify demonstrate and share its expertise amongst the lighting community, reenforcing its position as the industry leader.
Signify Internal Recruitment Animation
Signify turned to us to create an internal animation laying out how its employees could make use of the Signify online portal to discover inspirational career stories, search and apply for new roles, and find assignments to help them further their careers.
Our job was to convey this information in an engaging way while keeping the animation visually fresh but still in line with Signify’s in-house style. Watch the video below to see what we came up with:
Signify is the world leader in conventional lighting, LED lighting and connected lighting, with more than 86 million connected light points around the world and over 6.5 billion Euro sales in 2020 alone.
We cherish our professional partnership with such an innovative company, whose values and expertise align so wholeheartedly with our own.
In driving lighting towards a smart, IoT embracing, carbon neutral future, Signify is an industry pioneer. We are proud to be a contributing factor in its continued success.
